On the 12th, Indian Express carried a story about a minister in the Left Front government who stated that “After the results of the Lok Sabha elections and the bypolls, the government has no option but to quit. DoCoMo picked up an 26% chunk of Tata Teleservices for USD 2.7 Bn. Another multi billion dollar company created with cheap spectrum. Article in a foreign magazine Comm.Ae – Valuations in India continue to remain fluid, in particular with respect to greenfield opportunities. For example, the GSM licences that the likes of Telenor and Etisalat have participated in were offered at a fraction of the price that they were deemed to have been worth.

CBI raids DoT offices over spectrum scam

The CBI raided some offices of the DoT seeking evidence about the 2G spectrum allocation irregularities. The Central Bureau of Investigation on Thursday raided top Department of Telecommunications (DoT) officials on allegations that they had colluded with private companies in issuing licences and allotting spectrum to new players on a first come, first served basis last year.

Twenty-five years ago yesterday, Mrs Indira Gandhi was assassinated. She was walking towards a wicket gate in the garden of 1, Safdarjung Road, which used to be the Prime Minister’s residence, for an interview with Peter Ustinov who was shooting a documentary. As she reached the gate, two guards posted there, Satwant Singh and Beant Singh, shot her with their service weapons.

Gujarat tops JNNURM implementation, says central minister

Gujarat Congress leaders always shout that central fund granted to Gujarat is misused and not used properly by Modi administration. Recently when Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the first phase of Ahmedabad BRTS, Gujarat Congress leader again said the same as BRTS project is partially funded by centre under JNNURM scheme.

But contrary to Gujarat Congress view, the Central Minister of related department has something else to say. Saugata Ray, junior minister for urban development at the centre in his recent interview to PTI said Gujarat has made significant progress in terms of implementation of JnNURM projects.

Congress I (islami-isai) supported by communist elements have foisted an ugly perversion of secularism on native Indians.

Secularism in the West was conceived to keep in check totalitarian dogmatic church, a known institution of deceit and perversion. Since Islam too is dogmatic and totalitarian, Secularism in India would have made sense if it helps keep these beliefs under check.
